Our child centered approach to learning, focusing on nurturing and stable relationships, begins in our Infant classrooms and continues through Kindergarten. Our developmentally appropriate curriculum is aligned with the Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards and is designed to meet each child’s individual needs.

 Our program is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am-6: 30 pm.

Our staff is trained in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, specifically birth through 8. We provide ongoing professional development for our teachers including the opportunity to further their education. These policies and procedures ensure the highest level of care and education for our children. We are a committed and dedicated community of caregivers and educators with more than 75 years of combined experience!
Our Health and Safety best practices, include frequent proper hand washing, fourteen step diaper changing procedures, and sanitization of all toys and equipment throughout the day in every classroom. All staff is certified in First Aide and Pediatric CPR.
Our indoor play area includes play structures for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and school age children. This fun filled room will be used for dramatic play, free play and curriculum extensions. We know that children learn best through play and provide several opportunities for outdoor activities.

We are proud to provide meals to children twelve months and older. Our onsite Food Service Manager plans healthy and nutritious meals that meet the Child and Adult Food Program Federal Guidelines. This includes lunch and two snacks daily. We are a peanut nut free environment and encourage parents to please keep us updated regarding allergies and special dietary concerns.
In addition, we offer enrichment activities that are taught by qualified
instructors who are accredited in their respective field. These programs include Yoga, Art, Sign Language and Music.





Olde City Day School Newbold seated in the Constitution Health Plaza is strategically located within 2 miles of both I-76, I-95, stadiums, and Center City to provide convenient access for employees and visitors alike. Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is less than 5 miles from Constitution Health Plaza.
Located in the center of Historic Germantown within walking distance to numerous shops, restaurants and service establishments. Easily and directly accessible to the SEPTA R8 Commuter Rail Service and the commuter Bus Service at the Chelten Avenue Station.  With easy access to the Schuylkill Expressway (1-76), the Roosevelt Expressway (Route 1), Wissahickon Avenue and Lincoln Drive.

The 52,650 sq.ft. building has been renovated to convert it into a two-story modern building with 28 secure indoor parking spaces and 62 exterior plus an elevator with main entrance lobby making pickup and drop off a breeze. 
Olde City Day School's Flagship Location, is located in the Creative Arts Building at 219 Cuthbert St, nestled quietly and privately Just behind the Arden Theater in Olde City.

It is now home to  fitness studio, Lithe Method; the Philadelphia Dance Academy; and, of course, Olde City Day School The building's Anchor Space, which occupies the entire first and second floors


Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment that facilitates the very best early childhood education.  This approach to learning was developed by the creators through years of research and experience in the field focusing on building each child's emotional, social, cognitive, and physical skills.  

Olde City Day School integrates various philosophies and offers a wide range of enriching activities to meet the individual needs of each child.  Our curriculum follows  all area of development while aligning with the Pennsylvania Learning Standards.  We do this by carefully planning and coodinating five areas: Social and Emotional Development, Language Arts and Literacy, Cognitive Development, Creative Arts and Physical Development.  Our teaching themes introduce ideas and concepts that invite the children to explore our world, and provide the foundations for scaffolding children's learning.
